Indigo Dyeing Handkerchief Art Workshop

This workshop integrates traditional craftsmanship with creative handcrafting. Participants will explore the cultural history and origins of indigo dyeing, learning its fundamental principles and development. Under the guidance of our tutors, participants will master practical pattern-design techniques such as folding, binding, and clamping. Through the process of repeated dyeing, oxidation, and untying, each participant will create a unique, beautiful indigo-dyed handkerchief.

Throughout the activity, participants will not only enjoy a hands-on creative experience but also appreciate the distinctive color gradients and organic textural variations produced by natural dyeing. The finished piece is both functional and artistic, allowing participants to cultivate mindfulness, aesthetic appreciation, and a deeper connection to traditional craftsmanship.
