Plant Pigment Candle Making Workshop

The butterfly pea flowers, purple cabbages, and beetroots found across our farm fields serve as nature’s very own color palette. Through fun and engaging scientific experiments, participants will extract natural pigments from these vibrant plants to create unique, handmade candles, capturing and preserving the colors of the farm into a gentle candle flame.

Participants will learn the scientific principles behind plant pigment extraction and wax solidification, while experiencing the "color-changing magic" of pH levels firsthand. From blending colors and melting wax to pouring the molds, participants will enjoy the wonderful journey of transforming crops into handcrafted art, taking home their own piece of countryside light and shadow.
