Food Nutrition Laboratory

In the “Food Nutrition Laboratory” at the Jockey Club Organic Learning Laboratory, participants will transform into little scientists to carry out hands-on food testing experiments. Using simple yet accurate scientific instruments and reagents, participants will measure nutritional content in organic crops in real time, such as vitamins and anthocyanins, to gain a deeper understanding of the nutritional value of organic produce. This activity combines knowledge from biology, chemistry and food nutrition, turning abstract textbook theories into fun scientific experiments. The depth of the content can also be flexibly adjusted to align with any school’s curriculum. Beyond consolidating interdisciplinary knowledge, our tutors will also guide participants to reflect on their daily eating habits, inspiring them to turn knowledge into action and build truly healthy lifestyles.

Activity Duration: About 1.5 hours

Group Size: Minimum 20 participants for group visit packages

Fee: Additional $120 /pax for group visit packages

Remarks: Visiting groups can add this activity to their group visit, or we can arrange a tutor to run the activity off-site (separate quotation required).
