Farming isn’t just about traditional knowledge—technology can help too! This workshop takes you into the new era of "smart farming" and explores how the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) can monitor soil moisture, nutrients, and weather data in real time. This technology allows modern farmers to accurately track crop growth and adjust irrigation and fertilization plans instantly, saving natural resources and enabling low‑carbon, sustainable production.
Our tutor will demonstrate how we use soil sensors and IoT systems to collect live data on the farm. Participants will then have the chance to operate simple devices themselves, collect planting data from potted plants, and learn basic analysis techniques to understand how data can guide farming decisions. From the field to data analysis, come and experience how technology helps agriculture face the challenges of climate change—and discover the endless possibilities of smart farming!
